VIVAMAYR launches Holistic Health Weeks: yoga, qigong and breathwork in Maria Wörth
The health resort in Maria Wörth adds group weeks of yoga, qigong, breath and voice work to its programme, together with a dedicated medical package prescribed individually.

The health resort VIVAMAYR in Maria Wörth is adding a format built around community to its programme: the Holistic Health Weeks. They focus on breath, voice, movement and mindful touch, set within a medical programme and experienced in a fixed group. The first dates fall in November and December 2026.
The concept
The weeks combine VIVAMAYR's medical expertise with the experience of a dedicated Holistic Health Team. Yoga, qigong, breathwork, voice training and mindful touch shape the group programme. Sessions are led by Martina for breath and voice work, Mauricio for yoga and movement and Rudy for qigong and shiatsu. Shared exercises, conversations and time in nature are part of it, as are the resort's health talks on prevention and a lastingly healthy lifestyle.
What is new above all is the setting. VIVAMAYR describes the weeks as a shared journey with a shared focus. Everyone starts together on the Monday; arriving mid-week or joining for single days is not intended. The aim is a protected space in which trust and a sense of connection can grow. The group sessions are held in English only.

A week at a glance
Each module runs from Monday to Saturday. Sessions take place in the morning from 9 to 11 am and in the afternoon from 4.30 to 6 pm. Monday is about arriving, with first exercises in breath, movement and mindfulness and a session on the power of breath and voice. Tuesday brings yoga with breath and voice work and a health talk from the regular programme. Wednesday pairs the Eight Brocades of qigong with voice and resonance work, followed by group singing in the afternoon. Thursday is given over to the qigong "Dance of the Five Animals", self-massage and acupressure. Friday is planned as an experience day, with yoga, breath training and the option of ice bathing or forest bathing. Saturday closes with singing, sound work and a final circle.
The medical package
The Holistic Health Weeks are not the same as the VIVAMAYR PURE programme. The medical package was designed specifically for the group weeks and can be extended with treatments from the regular menu, depending on time and preference. For one week it includes an initial and a final consultation with the doctor, three manual abdominal treatments, a mineral analysis, a free radical measurement, an HRV measurement, three sessions in the cold chamber, three holistic treatments prescribed individually, three electrolysis foot baths, two fango or mud packs and one Vinoforming treatment. Over two weeks the cold chamber, holistic treatments, foot baths, packs, HRV measurement and Vinoforming double, and the manual abdominal treatment rises to eight sessions. VIVAMAYR prices the package at €3,254 for one week and €5,892 for two weeks. Individual sessions with the team's therapists can be booked on top.

Dates in 2026
There are two periods, each with two consecutive weekly modules: 2 to 15 November, starting on 2 or 9 November, and 7 to 18 December, starting on 7 or 14 December. The second week repeats the first and allows more time and depth. The week from 14 December is shorter because the resort closes from 19 December; the Saturday session then moves to the Friday. Guests arriving on the Monday itself should be on site for the joint start at 9 am.
Our view
For asonom the format is interesting because it combines movement, breathing exercises and community with medical supervision, themes the magazine follows in its Fitness and Mental Health sections. What the weeks do for an individual's health cannot be read from this. Words such as vitality and regeneration describe the resort's intention, not a measured effect. Anyone who wants to get to know yoga and qigong at a calm pace, with medical care in the background, will find a clearly structured setting here.
