1. Overview

This page explains what happens to personal data when you visit asonom.com. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.

The short version: this is a static website. It sets no cookies, it runs no advertising trackers, it embeds no social media widgets, and it loads no fonts, scripts or images from third-party servers. Everything the site needs is served from asonom.com itself.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, acting as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR.

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits. This includes: browser type and version, operating system, the referring URL, the host name of the accessing computer, the time of the server request and the IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources.

Collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of our website, which requires server log files to be recorded.

4. Reach measurement

We use a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics service to count page views. It sets no cookies, stores no device identifiers, does not track visitors across websites, and does not store full IP addresses. The data collected is aggregated and cannot be traced back to individual persons. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in statistically evaluating visitor behaviour in order to improve the site. Because no personal data is stored, no consent is required.

5. Cookies

This website does not set cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

6. Fonts and external content

Fonts used on this site are hosted on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or any other third-party font service is established. Where an article refers to external video or audio, it does so with a plain link that you have to click; nothing is loaded from a third-party server until you do.

7. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, the details you provide, including the contact data you give, are stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry and for follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw consent, or the purpose ceases to apply. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

8. Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain free information about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have a right to request the correction or deletion of this data, a right to restriction of processing, and a right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Right to object: where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

9. SSL/TLS encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address line of the browser changing from http:// to https:// and by the lock symbol. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or in order to reflect changes to our services. The new version then applies to your next visit.
